On February 16, 2007 during NBA All Star Weekend, David Lee, sporting The Number and playing for the Sophomores, was named the Most Valuable Player in the Rookie Challenge, finishing with 30 points on 14 of 14 shooting from the field and 11 rebounds at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.Lee was selected in the first round (30th overall) in 2005 NBA Draft after a four-year career at Florida.
