Talib Zanna - F - Pittsburgh Panthers

Born in Kaduna, Nigeria, freshman Talib Zanna proundley sports The Number for the Pitt Panthers.  Zanna was a prize recruit and 2009 graduate from Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville, Maryland where he helped guide Bishop McNamara to a 21-12 record and No. 3 ranking in the state. He was named First Team All-MET by the Washington Post and earned Independent private school all-league honors.

 

Steve Toyloy - C - Cincinnati Bearcats

Cincinnati Bearcats senior Steve A. Toyloy proudly sports The Number as he throws one down against Mississippi State in the second half of an NCAA college basketball game, Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, in Cincinnati. Cincinnati won the game 75-63.

Toyloy was October 6, 1987 in Florida. Before joining the Bearcats, Toyloy spent two years playing for Miami-Dade Community College where he earned 2006-07 Florida Community College Activities Association (FCCAA) all-Southern Conference honors for leading the NJCAA in rebounding (12.9 rpg).

 

P. Sherman - 42 Wallaby Way - Sydney

In the classic film Finding Nemo what is the address on the diver's mask on the ocean floor dropped from the boat that  Dory is able to read? Why of course - 42 Wallaby Way - Sydney!

Brett Sutter - C - Calgary Flames

Brett Sutter was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 6th round (179th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He made his National Hockey League (NHL) debut for the Flames during the 2008–09 season, scoring a goal in his first game. He is the son of Darryl Sutter, and the eighth member of the Sutter family to play in the NHL.

Kyle Wellwood - C - Vancouver Canucks

After moving on from the Toronto Maple Leafs, Wellwood now proudly sports The Number in Vancouver.  Here is shown sending one past New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist during a November 2008 thrashing of the Rangers.
 

Ryan O'Marra - C - Edmonton Oilers

Ryan O'Marra was born June 9, 1987 in Tokyo, Japan.  O'Marra was drafted with the 15th pick in the first round by the New York Islanders in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He became the first Japanese-born Canadian player selected in the first round of an NHL draft. O'Marra is of Canadian background, but his parents were living in Japan for business reasons when he was born. On February 27, 2007, he was dealt to the Edmonton Oilers with Robert Nilsson and the New York Islanders 1st round pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft for Ryan Smyth.

Tower 42

Tower 42 was the tallest in the City of London. It was originally built for the National Westminster Bank (NatWest), hence its former name, the NatWest Tower. Seen from above, the tower closely resembles the NatWest logo (three chevrons in a hexagonal arrangement). The tower, designed by Richard Seifert and engineered by Pell Frischmann, is located at 25 Old Broad Street. It was built by John Mowlem & Co between 1971 and 1979, and opened in 1980. It is 600 feet high, which made it the tallest building in the UK until the topping out of One Canada Square in Docklands in 1990. It held the status of tallest building in the City of London for 30 years, but lost the status in December 2009 when Heron Tower overtook it in height. Heron Tower will top out at 246m.

Lenny Webster - C - Baltimore Orioles

Lenny Webster was that last player to proudly sport The Number for the Baltimore Orioles before MLB retired the number in 1997.  Lenny sported The Number from 1997 to 1999 (because he was grandfathered in Webster was able to wear 42 through 1999).

Lenny Webster was born on Wednesday, February 10, 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Webster was 24 years old when he broke into the big leagues on September 1, 1989, with the Minnesota Twins.

Brian Russell - S - Houston Texans

Brian Russell out of San Diego State was named All-Mountain West honorable mention as a senior DB after making the transition from QB to DB midway through his junior season.  Russell redshirted as a freshman after transferring from Penn in 1997. 

In 2001 Russell spent entire season on Minnesota's practice squad after signing as a rookie free agent.  In 2009, he proudly sported The Number for the Houston Texans.
